Known for leveraging breakthrough strategic thinking, product innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit into sweeping business, operations, and people successes, David Westall is no stranger to delivering impressive top- and bottom-line results for start-ups, private equity firms, and powerhouses in the food and beverage (F&B) and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries, which included 10 years with the Coca-Cola system.
An accomplished, highly respected international executive, David builds diverse FMCG brands and businesses focused on transformation and innovation, which is key to post-pandemic business recovery and resilience when navigating the “new normal.”
With an ability to drive both horizontal and vertical growth, David has served in senior-level roles (i.e., GM, CEO, President, Chairman) and is regularly sought out by top business decision makers on strategic consulting engagements—from cross-border trade and international business expansion to operational streamlining and M&As.
David holds an MBA from University of South Australia’s International Graduate School of Management. As a change leader, he also completed Creating & Executing Breakthrough Strategy from Columbia University in New York. Having lived and/or worked in North America, Europe, Central Asia, and Asia Pacific, David now conducts business out of Seoul, South Korea, where he lives with his family and carries out his passion for helping charities and those in need of assistance, in his free time.

Phillip is a German Oil & Commodity expert that has been active in the energy and trading industry for more than 15 years. Phillip is one of the three founders of Dropterra and also is a majority shareholder of the Ascon Group, an internationally recognized oil and energy focused organization founded in 1984. Phillip has great experience in the marketing, trading, financing and shipping of refined distillates and other commodities and is a key executive of Dropterra’s management team.
Prior to Dropterra and Ascon, he worked for renowned companies such as Italy’s largest energy supplier ENEL Group where he analyzed the worldwide country-entry strategies for geothermal energy projects as an in-house consultant as well as for the Spanish representation of German logistic giant FIEGE Gruppe, a 140-year-old company with more than 9,000 employees in 15 countries and 160 branches.
Phillip is also a co-founding major shareholder and Executive Director of Brahms Oil Refineries Ltd., a company that is building tailor-made crude oil refineries in selected Sub- Saharan countries with its flagship project in the Republic of Guinea.
Since 2018 he is also the driving force in Ascon’s transition to being a carbon-neutral economy player by moving into clean energy projects with sustainable solutions, among them Ascon’s complex Biomass project in Southern Africa.
Phillip holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as well as an MBA which he received at EADA Business School (Barcelona/ Spain) in 2005.
Phillip is a passionate traveler who appreciates different cultures and backgrounds, always striving to make his personal as well as corporate socio-economic impact a positive one by running his operations responsibly and by investing in communities in ways that benefit local populations.

Francois is a founding member and Managing Partner of Dropterra and is responsible for driving the company’s strategic direction and growth efforts. His expertise brings together more than 15 years of experience working for some of the most well-known banks on Wall Street, including J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley as well as a $20Bn Multi-Family Office in the United States. Throughout his career, Francois has accompanied successful entrepreneurs to their exits and has spent significant time investing in growth companies himself.
Prior to co-founding Dropterra, Francois served as an advisor to a number of ultra- high net worth individuals and families as well as large institutions around the world where he was responsible for his clients’ asset allocation, portfolio construction, and wealth plan implementation.
Francois started his career on Wall Street in Investment Banking, where he advised corporates around the globe on acquisitions and capital market transactions and both the buy side and sell side.
Francois earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Asset Management from the European Business School in Germany and an MBA from University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He additionally passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 63, 65 exams, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is an active member of the CFA Institute and Los Angeles World Council. Originally from Europe, Francois speaks English, French, and German and enjoys piloting planes and travelling to exotic destinations around the world.

Christian is a founding member and Managing Partner of Dropterra as well as a business development professional working for the Hamburg-based Ascon Group. Christian is an industry veteran who has spent most of his life working abroad and is deeply familiar with the energy sector across the globe, with a particular focus on Africa, South America and Asia.
He resides between Jakarta, Indonesia and Venezuela and is coordinating the international expansion of Ascon’s commodity division as well as overseeing Dropterra’s growth efforts in emerging and developed markets.
Christian started his career at Strabag AG, one of Germany’s largest construction companies where he was part of the business development team and the international procurement department for almost 4 years.
He later worked for mining companies in Sierra Leone, Bolivia and Indonesia where he helped to develop an international network and lead significant sales expansion efforts before he joined Mesa Commodities Ltd., a Danish/Zambian energy and logistic company where he lead the firm’s business development team before later being appointed head of Business Development for South East Asia.
In 2016 Christian joined the Ascon Group’s Indonesia office as Director of International Business Development and subsequently took over the same role for Ascon’s German headquarters.
Christian loves exploring the world, meeting and connecting people, while being a loyal, trustworthy and optimistic enthusiast with a hands-on approach, always ready to solve problems and finding creative solutions.
